Direct-Fired Air Heaters Apply Heat Directly to the Product Air Stream

Stelter & Brinck designs and manufactures 3 models of oil‑fired or gas‑fired direct process air heaters:

  • Packaged - Completely packaged systems
  • Duct - Designed to fit in the process duct work
  • Gun Style - Ideal larger mass flows, higher temperatures, fuel oil operation

Each direct-fired heater can be configured for low-emissions operation, with ultra-low NOx options available on select models. These heaters are typically used for applications where the process is compatible with the products of combustion. Common applications include drying, heat treating, sand or clay processing, printing and coating, cement production, composite curing, and fertilizer production.

S&B offers direct-fired air heater configurations based on the specified process requirements, operating conditions, airflow, temperature and fuel requirements of the application.
